EA seals the deal

A TheOneRing.net exclusive It was reported earlier in a New Line press release that EA had the license, but it was later revealed that EA and New Line were still in negotiations, and that nothing had been finalized.
Electronic Arts and New Line Cinema have finally sealed the deal for games based on the new Lord of the Rings movies. After bugging my PR contact at EA, it was revealed that "EA has signed an agreement to produce a series of games based on the LOTR motion picture series. Development is underway and there will be more information available on this later in the year."
