I received an email from Sydnee about, "The Ring Game." I asked for some more information about this game, which he seems to think is definitely good. Heres what he sent me: I came across it in an ordering book and someone else ordered as a gift to me. So I'm sure where I got it, because I didn't pay too much attention. well there you have it! If anyone else plays this game, and has anything to say about it, send an email.
I do know that Amazon.com carries it and I think Columbia House does also. Anyway, on to this masterpiece of a game whose full name is Ring The Legend Of The Nibelungen and is based on Richard Wagner's opera, The Ring Cycle. I would say that this game is Tolkien thrown in the blender with pure Norse
mythology and poured over a serving of Star Wars.
In this game, who are taken out of the 21st century and immersed in the 40th century. You have four characters: Alberich the tyrant dwarf, Loge the
fire spirit, Siegmund who is half man and half wolf, and lastly Brunnhilde who is the daughter of a god named Wotan.
One thing that's good about this game, is you can travel to one world, get sick of it after trying to figure out the puzzles, then go to the next one but be prepared to change CD's often (4 CD's).
The score is performed by the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. The voices are well done, graphic are beautiful, the color is spectacular, 360 degree
viewing range. Instead of the story coming to just one point, there could be many endings just like in the Lord of the Rings when Frodo left The Grey
Havens that was his ending and others were affected.
Of course there are more characters and if you want to learn more about this game, you visit: www.redorb.com and I hope you will enjoy this game because it is a must for Tolkien fan.
