The Hobbit Announced for GameCube February 18, 2002 - Capitalizing on the recent swell of interest in J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, Sierra Entertainment has announced that The Hobbit is in development for Nintendo GameCube. Being developed by Austin, Texas-based Inevitable Entertainment, The Hobbit for GameCube is a third-person action/adventure set in one of the most famous realms of fantasy ever created, Middle-Earth.
